Colorful events happen often in our valley celebrating cultural diveristy and old fashioned "fun"...Renaissance Fair, Wine Festival, making the world's largest enchilada, Mesilla Valley Hot Air Balloon Rally, Mariachi Festival, Cinco de Mayo to name a few.

Sports include college basketball and baseball, golf tournaments, Senior Olympics and winter sports are a few miles away at Cloudcroft and Ruidoso. See exciting horseracing at the Sunland Park Racetrack and in Ruidoso, too.

New Mexico is home to the emerging Space Industry with the Spaceport nearby. It is our City's honor to host the X-Prize Cup Space Competition every year.
